Vintage Hand-Knotted Persian Hamadan Wool Accent Rug
Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Persian Hamadan wool accent rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of scarlet, cobalt, cranberry, sage, carnation, ivory, pale yellow, black, and walnut. The lozenge shaped scarlet hued field begins with a central lobed medallion accompanied by an allover herati design, over a cobalt ground with floral shaped spandrels. Framing the field is an ivory grounded main leaf and blossom border, along with stylized floral meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges with a bound end, and the remains of a wool warp fringe to the other. It is unlabeled.
