A handwoven inscribed Romanian Bessarabian wool kilim. This flatweave area rug is rendered in a palette of pale gray, ivory, denim, umber, goldenrod, apricot, scarlet, powder blue, fern, and olive. The pale gray field features an array of floral sprays, framed in a main denim grounded floral border in contrasting colors, that bears an inscription to one end. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp knotted fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
