A hand-knotted Indo-Persian Heriz area rug. This rug features a central ivory medallion with corresponding pendants on a crimson field with rectilinear flowers and corner medallions, all in a color palette of grey, ivory, indigo, burgundy, pink, mocha, deep blue, rose, pale green, olive, tangerine, black, and peach. It has a main border with repeating palmettes and stylized vines, flanked by meandering carnation guard stripes and ends in short cotton warp fringe.
