A vintage Japanese woven cotton happi coat. This black cotton open front coat has white Japanese characters reading ‘luck and happiness’ (福祿) to the shawl collar and around the hips, red stripes to the shoulders and sleeves and a large red ‘luck’ (福) medallion to the back.
