A vintage hand-knotted Chinese Art Deco style wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of sand, indigo, cobalt, lavender, carnation, goldenrod, taupe, cranberry, and mocha. The open sand hued field is framed in solid bands of indigo and cobalt blue, while beginning with a central floral spray. An asymmetrical design covers the ends that flow over the borders as well, of an array flowering branches, hanging lanterns, vases, and a perched bird. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends with reinforced stitches. It is unlabeled.
