A hand-knotted Olyai Indo-Persian wool area rug by Orient Teppich. This rug is rendered in a palette of ivory, burnt orange, sapphire, tangerine, and olive. The ivory colored field features a lattice of boteh motifs, while framed in a stylized serabend border over a burnt orange ground. There are also a number of meandering guard borders in different styles. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. There are two labels to the underside, one marked ‘Handknotted Made in India’.
