A circa 1915 antique limited edition hardcover set of sixteen volumes of Richard F. Burton’s translation of the Thousand Nights and a Night, also known as the Thousand and One Arabian Nights. This limited edition of 1,000 sets, published for subscribers by the Burton Club. Each volume is bound in a light gray cloth hardcover with an applied label to the spine, with deckle front page edges, and is illustrated with black-and-white etchings with trimmed plate-marks and tissue guards. This is an incomplete set, including Vol. 1, 2, and 4-10 of the main series and Vol. 1-6 of the ‘Supplemental Nights’.
