Ancient Roman Republic commemorative AR denarius of M. Aemillus Scaurus, ca. 58 B.C. Coin was minted under M. Aemillus Scaurus and Pub. Plautius Hypsaeus. Coin commemorates the surrender of the Nabateans to the Romans in 58 B.C. The reverse depicts King Aretas kneeling in surrender. Metal Content: 95% silver. Diameter: 19.5 mm. Weight: 3.8 grams. Coin is circulated and in good condition.
