A Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame and Museum 1938 All-Star Game exhibit sign. This sign, constructed of durable cardboard, was part of the series’Stars of the Queen City’ display, presenting the date, score, and headlines about the game. Cincinnati’s own Johnny Vander Meer was the story in this All-Star game, pitching his two back-to-back no-hitters, less than a month before this game. The verbiage describes the game played at Crosley Field and gives the names of famous players who participated. A letter from the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame and Museum will accompany this item.
