Item Details
A finely hand-knotted Aubusson inspired wool area rug. This exceptional area rug features a center rose and floral motif with ribbon garlands, festoons, and foliate accents in dusty rose, pale pink, salmon and shades of green, with accents in cream, brown, seafoam-teal, and grey on an ivory field. The seafoam-teal border includes cartouche details at each corner and mid-points, with a wrapped garland border and signature in a cartouche at one end. It has tightly overcast selvedges with tied warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
