A watercolor painting on paper titled A Rocky Mountain Scene in Indian Life after a work by George Catlin. Portrayed with meticulous detail, this work features a Native American fighting some grizzly bears attacking his horse. The work is signed ‘T.S.’ and dated to the lower right. It is titled by hand to the lower center, visible in an opening in the mat. Presented under glass and double-matted, this work is housed in a gesso wood frame with a cherry finish and gold-tone liners.
