A group of four 1879 antique McGuffey school readers in hardcover, including the Second, Third, Fourth, and Fifth Eclectic Readers. William McGuffey (1800-1873) created the first widely used series of standard school textbooks in America. They are bound in paper hardcovers with cloth to the Fifth Eclectic Reader. Published by Van Antwerp, Bragg & Co. of New York and Cincinnati.

Condition

- moderate cover wear, spine damage to all volumes, normal paper yellowing and scattered foxing, light water stains to some volumes.
