Herschede Grandfather Clock

A Herschede grandfather clock by the Herschede Hall Clock Company of Cincinnati, Ohio. This floor clock features a cherry wood construction with an arched top and turned columns on either side of the face, as well as a weight driven movement, glass doors, brass weights, and a large pendulum. The top metal face features a decorative black filigree design with a silver toned globe near the top that reads “Tempus Fugit” across the center, which is encased behind a glass door. The Herschede name is also shown on the clocks face, as well as on a tag inside the door of the lower cabinet, which is also marked, “D’Orsay No. 629”.
