Antique George III Mahogany Chest of Drawers, Circa 1790

Item Details

An antique George III mahogany chest of drawers, circa 1790. The case features a rectangular top with molded edges above two aligned over three graduated, long drawers. The cockbeaded fronts are fitted with brass handles and escutcheons before dovetailed, oak linings. The chest rises on a molded base ending in bracket feet.

- top with some marks/stains and scratches as well as a repair to front, left corner and a chip/small loss to rear, left corner; some losses and repairs to cockbeading; handles have been replaced; repairs to feet; drawers retain interior lock plates; no key; other minor wear as would be expected with age and use.
