A 1930 first trade edition of Good Medicine: The Illustrated Letters of Charles Russell with an introduction by Will Rogers and a biographical note by his wife, Nancy C. Russell. Published in New York by Doubleday, Doran & Company, Inc. Garden City, New York. This is a first edition after the printing of one hundred thirty-four ‘deluxe copies’. The front end paper is inscribed in ink with a birthday greeting, ‘Happy Birthday Annette, Peggy and Charles Murphy, 1936’.

Condition

Some yellowing and foxing from age and use. The tissue is torn between the frontispiece and the title page.
