a hand-knotted Persian Ardekan Kashan wool area rug. This rug is rendered in an abrash palette of crimson, wheat, sky blue, navy, apricot, walnut, and powder blue. The crimson hued field begins with a lobed pendant medallion, while featuring an allover design of palmettes, flowers, and curled leaves, enclosed by sky blue grounded spandrels. Framing the field is a navy to walnut grounded main herati border, along with carnation meander guard borders, and laleh abbasi minor borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends.
