Circa 1900 Antique Handwoven Silk Crested Uchikake Kimono
Item Details
A circa 1900 antique handwoven silk crested uchikake kimono, hand decorated with yuzen resist dyed design; hand embroidered accents featuring the forbidden stitch and metallic silver and metallic gold couching. The resist dyed design features crane, hat of pine, plum blossom and cloud motifs in soft pinks, whites and green tones. Five off-white crest are resist dyed to the top, two at the front and three to the back. The interior is fully lined in a karakusa style pattern silk damask with a weighted hemline.
