Vintage Davenport Style Captain's Slant Top Desk

A vintage Davenport style Captain’s slant top desk. Named after the Victorian Captain who originally commissioned the design. The writing desk features a rear flat surface with scalloped surround, with a front hinged slanted writing surface. The lift top surface opens to a full unfinished compartment. The desk features a trestle type base with open shelves to each side. Originally purchased in Massachusetts. Please note, this items is located in the basement.
