A large impressive metal exhibit sign from Great American Ball Park. This display sign honors and commemorates the ‘1976 Cincinnati Reds World Championship Team’ and the franchise’s flamboyant owner August ‘Garry’ Hermann. Considered by many to one of the greatest Major League Baseball teams ever assembled, the Reds swept the New York Yankees in the 1976 ‘Fall Classic.’ Reds great players such as Pete Rose, Johnny Bench, Joe Morgan, Tony Perez, Ken Griffey Sr., Dave Concepcion, George Foster, Cesar Geronimo, and manager Sparky Anderson adorn this exhibit. Hermann implemented the idea of the American and National Leagues playing a “game series” to crown the victor the “World Champion Of Baseball.” A letter of authenticity from the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame Museum accompanies this item.
