A large impressive metal exhibit sign from Riverfront Stadium. This display sign depicts Pete Rose becoming ‘Major League Baseball’s All-Time Hit King’ and the 1869 Cincinnati Redstockings. Pete’s historic hit occurred on September 11, 1985, at Riverfront Stadium. when Pete singled to left-center field, breaking Ty Cobb’s long-time hits record. The 1869 side honors the founding figures of the Cincinnati Reds, George, and Harry Wright. A letter of authenticity from the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame Museum accompanies this item.
