1905 "Garry" August Hermann/ 1976 Team Educational Reference Exhibit Sign COA

A large impressive metal exhibit sign that greeted fans outside historic Riverfront Stadium. This display sign depicts the early 1900s Cincinnati honors owner ‘Garry’ August Hermann, the Reds flamboyant and inventive owner, and on the reverse side the ‘1976 Cincinnati Reds World Championship Team’. Hermann implemented the idea of the American and National Leagues playing a ‘game series’ to crown the victor the ‘World Champion Of Baseball.’ Considered by many to be one of the greatest Major League Baseball teams ever assembled, the 1976 Cincinnati Reds swept the New York Yankees in the ‘Fall Classic.’ Reds great players such as Pete Rose, Johnny Bench, Joe Morgan, Tony Perez, Ken Griffey Sr., Dave Concepcion, George Foster, Cesar Geronimo, and manager Sparky Anderson adorn this exhibit. A letter of authenticity from the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame Museum accompanies this item.
