1910/1938 Cincinnati Reds Historical Reference Metal Sign From The Reds COA

A large impressive metal sign from Riverfront Stadium. This display exhibit sign depicts President William Howard Taft throwing out the traditional opening day pitch on one side (1910) and the reverse side features Johnny Vander Meer ‘Back-to-Back or Consecutive No-Hitters’; a feat that has never been achieved by another pitcher, the box scores from both games are presented on this exhibit sign. Johnny’s second no-hitter came against the Brooklyn Dodgers; their “First Night Game At Ebbets Field.” In the patriotic colors of red, white and blue, this historical educational display captures this event. These heavy metal sign hung outside historical Riverfront Stadium for many years. A letter of authenticity from the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame Museum accompanies this item.
