1920/1935 Cincinnati Reds Metal Sign Honoring 1919 Team/First Night Game COA

A large i1920 Cincinnati Reds educational reference exhibit sign. This impressive metal sign originates from Riverfront Stadium and honors the 1920 upcoming decade after the Reds defeated the heavily favored Chicago White Sox in the 1919 World Series. Eight Chicago White Sox stars, such as Joe Jackson, were banned from Major League Baseball after ‘throwing the 1919 World Series.’ The other side of this large sign honors the year 1935, the first ever professional night game played at newly name Crosley Field. These heavy metal signs hung outside Riverfront Stadium. A letter of authenticity from the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame Museum accompanies this item.
