A hand-knotted Indo-Persian wool with silk accent rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of cranberry, indigo, cream, cornflower, mauve, gold, walnut, apricot, cobalt, sage, and lavender. The cranberry colored field begins with a central pendant medallion that coordinates with the indigo and cream grounded spandrels. The field also features a dense allover design of palmettes, leaves, and floral motifs. Framing the field is a main herati border with floral guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a silk kilim skirt with silk warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
