Hand-Knotted Indo-Persian Wool Area Rug

A hand-knotted Indo-Persian wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of crimson, ivory, indigo, powder blue, rose, and wheat. The crimson hued field begins with a lobed medallion, while featuring an allover flowering vine design, as well as coordinating ivory grounded spandrels. Framing the field is a stylized herati main border with an indigo ground, as well as floral meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool kilim skirt with wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
