Item Details
A circa 1890s antique Japanese handwoven silk crepe formal five crested furisode kimono, hand decorated with a yuzen resist dyed design and surihaku metallic gold leaf and embroidered accents. This off-white kimono has a multicolored design presented in a wavering kawa pattern, featuring plum blossom; fan; hats of pine and bamboo leaf motifs. The brown river is filled with a tonal seigaiha pattern. The fans are accented with kanoko, asanoha, shippo, kiri and matsu patterns. Five black _kamon crest are yuzen resist dyed to the shoulders and chest. Off-white silk and yuzen resist dyed silk crepe line the interior.
