A selection of antique Griffin, Smith & Hill majolica, also known as Etruscan, with English and Continental examples. Offered is a lion mask jug with various sized leaf-shaped dishes and saucers. The pieces display glazed finishes in various hues of pink, blue, brown, green, and yellow. Four leaf shaped dishes bear the impressed Griffin, Smith & Hill marks to the undersides, while the remaining pieces have no discernible maker’s marks noted. They were likely produced during the late 19th century.
