A circa 1890s antique Japanese handwoven silk crepe formal five crested furisode kimono, hand decorated with a yuzen resist dyed design and surihaku metallic gold leaf and embroidered accents. This black kimono has a multicolored design presented in a wavering kawa pattern, featuring hats of pine, fan, crane and plum blossom motifs. The light blue river is filled with a white seigaiha pattern. The fans are accented with kanoko, shippo, sayagata, kiku and kiri patterns. Five white kamon crest are yuzen resist dyed to the shoulders and chest. Red silk and yuzen resist dyed silk crepe line the interior.
