A rare and original one-of-a-kind Cincinnati Reds bat mobile art sculpture. From the Reds glory days, this sculpture titled ‘Big Red Machine’ was created by artist Denny Mitchell. Part of the 2004 “Bats Incredible” at the Cincinnati. Artworks Exhibit, this artwork is comprised of stacked glued Louisville Slugger baseball bats, deemed “The Bat Mobile.” The “Bats Incredible” art project followed Cincinnati’s 2000 “Big Pig Gig” and 2002’s “Flower Power.” street art event. This rare sculpture consists of a tractor that is inoperable with a #14 red colored seat positioned by yellow metal brackets from Riverfront Stadium. Created with numerous bats, ball, and represented player’s wood arms, this machine presents faux headlights, sharp teeth, rubber tires, make-shift machine gun, exhaust stack, and more. There is an identifiable plaque with artists name that also gives the name ’O’Rourke Wrecking Crew’ on the side that imploded Riverfront Stadium in December 2002. An accompanying letter of authenticity from the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame Museum is enclosed.
