A hand-knotted Hamadan wool rug. It features a large rectilinear hooked medallion on a serrated lozenge, infilled with rectilinear symbolic elements, with an arrow pendant to each end. The spandrels repeat the field pattern, all in a palette of scarlet, indigo blue-black, orange, taupe and ruby. It has an ‘S’ form guard border, with tied warp fringe and overcast selvegdes. It is labeled to the underside. Located on first level of home.
