A hand-knotted Persian Hamadan wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of madder red, sky blue, ivory, indigo, teal, carnation, saffron, wheat, and wine. The madder red colored field begins with a diamond pendant medallion, while featuring an allover herati design which flows over the layered deep spandrels. Framing the field is a main ivory grounded chained border, along with boteh guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
