Hand-Knotted Indo-Persian "Vase" Wool Room Sized Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Indo-Persian wool room sized rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of ivory, mocha, powder blue, burnt orange, indigo, sand, and wheat. The ivory colored field features a flower filled vase to each end, along with an array of over-sized palettes, and floral vine-work throughout. Framing the field is a main border designed with rosettes, and meandering flowering vines, as well as cruciform meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are the remains of double overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
