Antique French Asparagus and Artichoke Majolica Plates

A group of two antique French relief molded majolica plates. Offered is an artichoke plate on a cream ground accented with scroll and geometrical motifs to the border in soft hues of blue, pink, and purple. It is accompanied with an asparagus plate featuring a teal embossed ground. No discernible maker’s marks are noted; however, the pieces were likely produced during the late 19th century.
