A hand-knotted Caucasian Karabagh wool accent rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of madder red, indigo, black, sapphire, wine, goldenrod, and magenta. The indigo colored field features a lobed column with a madder red ground infilled with two medallions, rosettes, and branched elements. The field also features an array of rosettes throughout. Framing the field is a madder red grounded main chained palmette border, as well as floral meander guard borders, a meandering minor border, and a lappet designed minor border. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
