A hand-knotted Caucasian Talish wool carpet runner. This rug is rendered in a variegated palette of madder red, cobalt, gold, soft red, ivory, teal, walnut, and black. The madder red hued field features three Lenkoran medallions with a central hexagonal form, tree motifs, and hooked elements, while accompanied by scattered star motifs. Framing the field is a main leaf and star border, along with meandering guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
