Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Karaja Heriz wool accent rug. This rug is rendered in a variegated palette of cranberry, sapphire, ivory, madder red, ochre, indigo, and charcoal. The cranberry hued field features two star shaped medallions flanking a central hexagonal medallion, accompanied by an array of rectilinear designed floral and foliate motifs. Framing the field is a main floral designed border with an indigo ground, along with a floral meander guard border, and strips to each end. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
