Item Details
A hand-knotted Mir-a-Boteh carpet runner. This wool pile rug is rendered in a palette of cochineal red, sky blue, sapphire, mulberry, and butter yellow. The elongated field features an allover lattice of boteh motifs, each row alternating in direction. Framing the field are solid guard and secondary borders, while the primary border features a rectilinear carnation meander over cochineal red. The rug is finished with overcast barber pole selvedges and wool warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
