A hand-knotted Indo-Persian wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of wheat, cranberry, gold, powder blue, olive, indigo, terracotta, mocha, and ivory. The wheat hued field has a tea-stained effect while featuring an array of floral, foliate, and palmette motifs, along with exaggerated leaves, and an notched interior flower designed border. Framing the field is a main medallion and floral designed border with a coordinating notched strip through the center, as well as floral guard and minor borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
