An oil painting on canvas titled Winter Elk by listed American western artist Kimbal Warren (b. 1952), created in 1983. This work features a herd of elk wandering through a snow-covered mountainous landscape. The work is signed and dated to the lower left. It is presented in a rustic wood frame with two gold-tone liners and a canvas liner. The work is titled to the canvas verso.

Based in Utah, Kimbal Warren received his BFA from Brigham Young University. He is known for his depictions of the American west and his work has been collected by several U.S. senators and numerous institutions including the Springville Museum of Art, the Franklin Institute, Zions Banks, and Brigham Young University, among others.

- small brown stain to lower right; faint brown stains scattered throughout; some wear to frame includes stains, scratches, and finish loss scattered throughout.
