A hand-knotted Persian Everu carpet runner. This wool pile rug is rendered in an abrashed palette of cochineal red, cornflower, slate, wheat, and ivory. The elongated field features an allover lattice of mir-a-boteh, arranged in rows which alternate in direction. Framing the field are compound guard and secondary borders displaying reciprocal, geometric, and floral and boteh meander motifs, while the primary border is comprised of a serabend pattern over ivory. The rug is finished with overcast barber pole selvedges and wool warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
