Item Details
A circa 1890 mantel clock by Wm.L. Gilbert. This antique piece features a brass and glass front cover with a white dial and a brass egg and dart bezel. The dial displays a brass center, black Arabic numerals, black metal hands, and two brass key arbors. Enfolding the dial is a wooden case with a box house, incised designs, and a turned wood column to each side. It is supported by four claw feet and operates with an 8-day time and strike movement. The underside retains a partial label marked ‘Winsted, Conn., U.S.A’.
