An original abstract acrylic painting on canvas by Cincinnati artist Elizabeth O’Neill (1930 – 2018). A label to the verso states the artist’s name, and the painting is signed to the lower right. It is presented unframed.

Elizabeth O’Neill was born in Cleveland, Ohio and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from St. Mary of the Woods College in Indiana. After furthering her education with graduate work at the Cleveland and Chicago Art Institutes and Northern Illinois University, she spent twelve years teaching art to inner-city high school students in Chicago. “There,” she says, “I learned the grassroots of humanity and found expression to be a saving factor.”
