Hand-Knotted Sino-Persian Wool Area Rug

A hand-knotted Sino-Persian wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of crimson, indigo, sky blue, ivory, wheat, rose, walnut, apricot, and sage. The crimson colored field begins with a diamond medallion flanked by an ornate flower filled vase to each end, while enclosed by coordinating spandrels with an indigo ground. Floral clusters, and bouquets populate the remaining of the field, while framed with a main stylized herati border. There are also two carnation meander borders framing the field. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton kilim skirt with cotton warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
