A watercolor painting on paper by listed American western artist Jodie Boren (b. 1926), created in 1981. This work features some men on horseback herding cows in an expansive grassy field. A moving train enters the scene from the right and snow-capped mountain peaks are silhouetted against a blue sky in the distant background. The work is signed and dated ‘81’ to the lower right. It is presented under glass, double-matted, and housed in a brown wood frame.

Born in Texas, Jodie Boren is known for his artwork featuring scenes of the American southwest. His work has been featured in various Christmas cards, journals and magazines including The Cattleman, Southwest Art Magazine, The Paint Horse Journel, and The Quarter Horse Journal.
