Antique Gingerbread Style Mantel Clock
Item Details
An antique gingerbread-style wall clock. It features a carved and shaped wood case that includes decorative floral and foliate scrollwork designs. The clock has a scalloped bonnet with carved scrollwork side panels and a brass hinged glass front door with a gilded floral design. Other features of the clock include a brass bezel surrounding a white metal face with black Roman numerals, two brass arbors and black cruciform hands. The clock is weight driven with a brass embossed pendulum and chimes and finishes on a plinth style base with decorative carved designs and a scalloped edge and has a hook for hanging on the verso. The clock can be used as a mantel or wall clock and there are no apparent makers marks.
