Antique Hand-Knotted Persian Qom Wool Accent Rug
Item Details
An antique hand-knotted Persian Qom wool accent rug. This rug is rendered in an abrash palette of burnt orange, indigo, camel, sky blue, and wheat. The open burnt orange field is over populated with an ogee pendant medallion infilled with ornate floral motifs that coordinates with the indigo grounded spandrels. The edge of the spandrels have an architectural shaped edge reminiscent of a mosque. Framing the field is a sky blue grounded main stylized floral meander border, as well as floral meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and the remains of a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
