A handwoven and embroidered Caucasian wool kilim runner. This rug is rendered in a palette of mauve, sky blue, sand, sepia, carnation, goldenrod, sage, and ivory. The field features panels with ground colors of sky blue, mauve, and sand, while featuring hooked diamond motifs, with animals and branched elements, or a pelt motif. The panels have comb designed edges, and separating bands of kochak shapes. Framing the field is a main S and hexagon paneled border, as well as ram’s horn and bird head patterned guard borders. Finishing this rug are multiple overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
