A handwoven Baluch wool runner. This rug is rendered in a palette of crimson, denim, ivory, camel, chartreuse, clementine, and powder blue. The field is a denim hue densely covered in crimson colored designs including panels of medallions in box and lattice patterns, alternating with stripes of brackets, running dog, laleh abbasi, S forms, and other geometric symbols and motifs. Framing the field is a main stepped diamond border, along with sawtooth guard borders, and coordinating strips to the ends. Finishing this rug are double overcast selvedges and a long kilim wool skirt with wool and goat hair warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
