The Book of Common Prayer is the standard liturgy of most Anglican churches of the British Commonwealth and has also influenced or enriched the liturgical language of most English-speaking Protestant churches. Besides the Book of Common Prayer and Holy Bible, this edition includes the text of the Act of Uniformity for Publick Prayers of 1662, psalms and prayers in metered verse, apocrypha, and folio maps of biblical locations as well as a world map. The thick book is bound in full leather over wooden boards with pressed cover decoration and brass corner brackets and latches.
