Two early 20th century bronze models after statuary of wrestlers found on the grounds of the ancient village of Papyri, outside the city of Herculaneum; discovered in 1754. The sculptures depict two nude athletes leaning forward on a rectangular bronze base. The work is unsigned and shows no markings or foundry stamps.
